The Charlotte Shapers, a chapter of young professionals
affiliated with the World Economic Forum, is collecting applications
for Shape Charlotte, a business-plan competition for under-30-year-olds.
The deadline to apply for the program and its $15,000 in
prize money is Wednesday.
The Shapers established the program to address unemployment,
particularly among youth, in the Charlotte area. The competition will include
teams of up to eight entrepreneurs vying for prize money. Applicants will be
chosen based on their ability to demonstrate the viability of their business
plan and its impact in a 250-word pitch. Those accepted into the contest will
be announced ..
