Initiative Forum is an annual conference hosted by the Youth Initiative Program in Jarna Sweden. It is hosted by and for people who want to enact positive change in the world. It is a space for learning, inspiration, networking, and collaboration. Participants can come to share and learn about initiatives for change from around the world. It combines lectures, personal stories, workshops, discussions and celebrating into a week that will awaken the intellect, warm the heart, and rejuvenate the spirit.
Are you between 18 & 28 years old? Do you have a basic sense of the global challenges we are facing as humanity? Do you want to understand these challenges better? Do you want to learn how to work together with other people in creating a better world? Join YIP.
This year, our theme is Freedom and Responsibility, what we call: Freesponsibilty. This theme will explore the relationship between the ‘outer’ world and the ‘inner’ world, the individual and the collective and the balance between freedom and responsibility within the outer, the inner, the ‘me’ and the ‘we’. Together we want to engage in these topics, deepen our understanding and find common ways towards a shared intention, both for each of us individually and collectively in the network of relationships we create and represent.
Cost:
The conference is non-profit and run by, basically, volunteers and we try as much as possible to engage our network and community to collaborate with us. The price to participate the 5 days is SEK 1.700 , around 170 euros – including food ( breakfast, lunch and dinner) and accommodation.
