Young African Leadership Initiative (YALI) – A President Obama and USAID youth initiative. USAID and the Accra RLC are enthusiastic about establishing a regional leadership center to provide the tools, opportunities and leadership skills tailored to empowering young African leaders in entrepreneurship, public sector management and civic society.
The Accra RLC partners’ resources will allow many exceptional young emerging leaders access to peer networks, entrepreneurship support services, and innovative technology solutions. YALI is committed to achieving the objectives of the Accra Regional Leadership Center that will lead to a long-term sustainable impact in youth development in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Eligible Countries: Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Burkina Faso, Togo, Sierra Leone, The Gambia
Interested in the following segment areas:
- Entrepreneurial
- Public Service Management
- Civic Society
- Of the following key characteristics:
- Must be 18-35 years of age
- African citizen
- No criminal record
- Ability to read and write in English
- First session (July – October)
- Second session (November – February)
- Third session (March – June)
